Finding information about one’s family is sometimes just luck. I am looking for some of that luck now in locating distant cousins who had parents or grandparents from Gordon Co GA. I am searching for descendants of Worth Allen AKA Sanders W. Allen and his wife Jennet/Virginia Giddy . Sanders Worth Allen was born in the part of Habersham County GA about 1856 that a few months later became White Co., GA. He died 16 Nov 1924 in Gordon Co., GA and is buried at Scott Cemetery in Plainville, Gordon Co., GA. According to his death certificate his parents were Jno Allen and Sallie Goss. John C. Allen married Sarah Goss in 1846 in Habersham Co., GA. Sanders Worth was 3rd son. He had one sister named Laura. Brothers named James Maxwell, Samuel Denton, John Singleton or Sain and Marcus T. who all had surname of Allen.
On the 1910 census for Habersham Co., GA he had 2 sons named William H. 1891-1984 and John 1897-1978. Both sons are buried at Scott Cemetery. John R. married Fannie and had 2 children by 194o. I want to locate and e-mail or talk with any children or grandchildren of John R. and William H. Allen. If you are connected please e-mail me at truegagirl at gmail.com. I am willing to compare notes and share information with anyone related to Sanders Worth Allen.

Mika Shaw Chatham a 3rd great granddaughter of Sarah/Salle Goss and john C. Allen
