Dear Bernice:
Greetings and thanks so much for your kind reply."Cafeteria genealogy!"I love that term and it fits the situation perfectly. There some folks I wish hadn't bothered if they didn't intend on carefully researching and connecting their ancestors one to another. You certainly share my feelings.
Please forgive my not being more clear with my inquiry post.I feel I have William (M.) J. Kell(e)y tied to my great-grandmother Pearly. It's William's parents that are in question for me.For months now, I've been attempting to find whether Jacob and Chloe Kell(e)y are "my" William's parents or if they belong to one of the other two. These are the Jacob and Chloe to which I refer:
Jacob Kelly
Birth: 1780
, Clarke, Georgia, USA
Death: 13 Dec 1862
, Coffee, Alabama, USA
Chloe
Birth: 1790
, , Georgia, USA
Death:
(Unfortunately, not a wealth of details right now on Miss Chloe)
If you, by chance, come across anything that might link William and Jacob as son and father, I'd be OH so appreciative. Thanks again so much for taking the time to write back and assist.Take care.
All my best,
John
