Your post is a bit muddled. In 1920 you said she was Ruth Sigman- but living with a Paul Hammond in Macon- but the Ruth in Macon is listed as Ruth Hammond, wife of Paul- not Sigman.
However in the 1920 census of Hancock County, a Ruth Sigman, age 25, is married to a Grover Sigman, and has 2 children.
Further down the page is a John T. Hight with a wife Lucy and 2 children. Another John T Hight Jr. is listed further down.
There was an obituary for a Thomas Middlebrook Sigman, died 2006, whose parents were Grover and Ruth Hight Sigman.
As Constance says, spelling in censuses depended on the census taker and they often mispelled names- so one has to be flexible.
In the 1910 census of Hancock, Grover Sigman's family and Ruth Hight's family are living fairly close together.
Was this the family you were after?
