I am sorry that I was not notified of your reply. The box is checked. I had not seen the complete will until now.

Ray seems to think that this son James stayed in North Carolina. I was looking at him as a possibility to be the father of my Benjamin F. There was a James in Oglethorpe on the 1820 census. I have yet to learn anything more about him. It would seem that he could be related to Sanders or William who were also in Oglethorpe. Since there is a possibility that Ben had a younger brother, Terrell, born in GA in 1818, I am looking for parents in GA after Ben was born in NC in 1808.

My Benjamin was born in NC and married in Oglethorpe in 1832. Because of naming patterns, I am looking for a father named William or James. Of course, he could have created his own pattern.

Thank you, Bernice.
