I am a descendant of John Spivey born abt. 1780 who married Mary Mullins b 1783, d 1861. John Spivey and Mary married Oct 28 1805 in Columbia Georgia. Their son William J. Spivey b 1806 d 1866 was married in 1834 to a Jane B. Waller b 1810 in Virginia. William J. Spivey and Jane B. Waller Spivey had daughter Emily B. Spivey b 26 Sept 1835 in Georgia, d 1 Oct 1868 i Arkansas. Emily was married to Robert Robinson ORR Apr 15 1855 in Georgia. They moved from Georgia to Arkansas (I descend from RR Orr and Emily Spivey's daughter Louella Orr). William J. Spivey and Jane Waller Spivey also had son John W. Spivey b 1837 Georgia, daughter Josephine Spivey b 1840 Georgia married Phil Moat, daughter Sarah J. Spivey b abt 1841 GA married Jesse Johnson Jan 4 1864 in Arkansas, and later Nathan Henry Cloyes of Arkansas, there were twins Thomas L.A. Spivey and Julia L.A. Spivey b. 1846 in Georgia. Julia married Benjamin Davis and later a Huggins. There was also a son named Wesley Augustus (GUS) Spivey b about 1849 in Gordon CO., Georgia. He married a Barbara Brown and lived in Arkansas. Two more children of Wm. J. Spivey and Jane Waller Spivey were John F. Spivey b 1861 GA and Betty Spivey. Betty Spivey was also married to Phil Moat. Does anyone have any more on this particular Spivey family line. I am interested in finding out where the family line originated. Where was John Spivey who married Mary Mullins in Columbia Georgia from? Any information would be appreciated.
