I made a small error in that last post. I wrote in my email that Joel and his wife were married as of 1975. I should elaberate that the wedding announcement for Ronald and Rebecca in 1969 says Ronald is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joel H. Jump of Macon, GA. The Dec 1973 birth announcement for their son, Ronald Clarence Jump Jr, still lists them as Mr. and Mrs. Joel H. Jump of Macon, GA. That is the last I know of both of them until Joel is found in the SS death index saying he died in 1986. Ronald and Rebecca's second son, Kevin Thomas Jump, was born in May or June 1976, but there was no birth announcement, just him listed under area births. My husband, Brent Nicklaus Jump, was born Sept 1980 in Savannah, and their sister, Kayla Rebecca Jump was born in the same area in 1982. Robert George Jump was born in Macon, GA, in Oct 1977, and was told his father was Ronald Clarence Jump of GA. He was taken from GA to NJ between 1977 and 1980 though, and adopted by a relative named Edna Jump, wife of George Jump. His name may have been changed when the adoption went thru though. He contacted NJ Child Services, and all they could tell him was that it was an in-family adoption, and that he WAS born out of state. Edna gave him the other info right before she died, but that was all she said. He applied for his records, but was told it will take between 6 mths to a year to receive them. Robert and I discovered each other by accident while I was trying to trace the family. I called to see if he might be related to Jumps in GA, and that is when he told me who he was told his father was, and where he and his father were born. In all my research, I have never run across another Ronald Clarence Jump from the Macon area of GA, or of anywhere else. I have also learned that Joel, Thurman, and Dewitt's brother, Rueal Jump, had a son named Frank Jump, but I have not been able to locate them yet to call them. I do know they stayed in the Warner Robins and Pine Mountain areas of GA. Mary Jane Jump's obituary lists her sons as being J. W. Jump, Rueal Anderson Jump, and Will H. Jump, all of GA. Her grandsons are listed as R. A. Jump Jr, W. B. Jump, Joe Jump, Curtis Jump, Jake Pittman, and Oro Horne. I think Mary Jane was Dewitt's sister-in-law possibly, but it is so hard to trace everyone when the same first names keep getting used by family members for their children. Some name their children the same names as theirs, their father, or even as uncles. Good example being Rueal. He was Rueal Austin. Dewitt's brother was Rueal Austin also. Mary Jane named a child Rueal Anderson, one of her sons named a son Rueal Austin or Anderson. That's why tracing who's who has been so difficult for me. I'm hoping that if someone in the Macon area can locate the May 1986 obituary in the paper for Joel Jump, it might list brothers, children, a wife, anything. That would hopefully make it easier for me to complete the family tree from our branch. My husband's mother refuses to talk about her ex-husband, or his family members, so we're not getting anywhere. We can't even get the names of Ronald's siblings from her. She also refuses to give us Ronald's Social so we can try to see if he's alive, and if so, where he might be. So, until someone recognizes any of the info I've been posting as being their family's info also, or we locate any other information from somewhere, we're at a standstill on this.
