Do you have a copy of his death certificate? Georgia death certificates have fields for the father's name and mother's maiden name that are populated if the informant, usually a close relative, has knowledge of the information. According to the death index he died in Crisp County 16 April 1938. The certificate may be obtained from the Georgia Vital Records Service. Their website at http://health.state.ga.us/programs/vitalrecords/death.asp provides instructions.
