I am not related to the Hardy family but have researched for an inlaw. I thought this might help with what seems to be some confusion on the children of Josiah Hardy. jbs
HARDY, Josiah Cunningham 11/13/1821-12/13/1853 s/o Thomas Hardy & Susan Day; Wife: Anna Glaze 2/26/1822-1/31/1891 - Hardy Cem, Stovall, GA d/o John Glaze b. 1795- d. bef 10-1856 and his 2d wife Sarah Dallas b. 1810-d.-- John's will dated 4 Nov 1850, Troup Co., Will Book B, p. 100: "State of Georgia, Troup Co.: I John Glaze ---"my son-in-law Josiah C. Hardy (has rec'd)in right of his wife Ann ninety Dollars and seventy-five cents,"
Ann Glaze born ca 1822 in GA; m. Josiah Hardy 1-06-1839 Troup Co., GA. Ann was living with her family in Troup Co., in 1850, but by 1860 she was widowed. Josiah was born ca 1822 in SC, and died before 1860 in Troup Co. In 1850, Josiah and family are living in HH 113. He is recorded as a "farmer" with land valued at $500. In 1860 Ann is living in HH 719- still owns the land valued at $500. Children of Ann Glaze and Josiah C Hardy:

3. Robert A. Hardy b. 20 May 1844 GA m. 23 Jan 1868 Martha Freeman
4. Otis Hardy b. 20 Oct 1846 GA; d. 10 Feb 1922 m. [1] Emily Baba McGee b. 1 Jun 1847; d. 4 Sep 1881[2] Cora John Cunningham
5. Lemuel L b. 10 Nov 1848 GA d. 18 Jun 1902 m. Susan (see 1900 census).
6. Martha J. Hardy b. 20 Sep 1851/ d. 11 May 1852
