You might try the Emanuel County, GA websites. There were a lot of Youngbloods there, and are still, I am sure.
I am researching Sarilda Malinda Youngblood who was born in NC or SC and was supposedly kidnapped by James A. Yates, and eventually they migrated to Washington County, FL. There were also some Yates families in Emanuel County, GA so I am thinking there is a connection.
There was a good deal of information on Youngbloods in general and the origin of the name, on the Emanuel County Geneaology website, which I can't seem to find now. But I think I have it in a file and will be glad to look for it and send it to you if you would like to have it. You may e-mail directly if you want to.
Beverly
