I have William A. SHACKLEFORD (Shackelford), b. 1814 in GA, d. Nov 1852 in Cherokee Co., AL. Married (1) Diana ROUSSEAU, d. 1841, married (2) Elizabeth HALE d. 1852. William was a tavern keeper in Centre, AL during his marriage to Diana. Child of first wife, Berenice Shackleford, m. Frank BANKSON. I find a Lucinda Shackleford in Morgan Co., GA in 1830. Ages of children shown in the census seem to fit William. Diana Rousseau was from Morgan Co., GA. I find a record (no proof) of a John Shackleford m. Lucinda Osborn in Wilkes Co., GA abt 1805.

Does anyone have any further data on this family? I'd appreciate any information!
