Can anyone out there help with this?
I'm trying to find documentation on George Swindle, son of Solomon Swindle and Letha DePriest. I found the following two postings on the SWINDLE Genforum site and need help confirming the information that H Swindoll and Wanda Hoffer had posted there. I've emailed Wanda and have received no response.
Does anyone have documentation that George W. Swindle of Madison Co., GA was the son of Solomon Swindle?

George was the son of Solomon Swindall one of the sons of John Swindol. George served in the Civil War and went to Mitchell Co, GA and was sheriff there for several years. This is from memory--if you need more I will dig my notes though I don't think I have much more.

Seeking information for George W. Swindle, born 12 June 1832 in Madison Co.,GA, son of Solomon and Leatha (DePriest) Swindle.He died Oct. 1906 in south, GA What county? Who was his wife and children?
