Any info appreciated on Mathew Marshall Sr. and Mathew Marshall Jr. Mathew Sr. arrived from Ireland about 1770, asked for 100 acres of land in Queensboro, and was recorded as living in St. George Parish (Burke Co. now). Mathew Jr. was born in 1780 and married the daughter of Alexander McCullough (McCullar). Their son, John Robert Marshall, is buried in Newton County, TX and was my gg-grandfather.
Note: There was another Mathew Marshall in Burke County, maried to a woman named Rhoda; and this is probably not the one I descend from. Any information appreciated. Cheers for now and best wishes for 2005, Stewart Marshall
