Millegeville or Milledgeville, Georgia?

I wonder if someone would please let me know the correct spelling of the above Georgia town. Is it spelled Millegeville or Milledgeville? I have seen it both ways.

I am, also, trying to confirm if Rev. Talmage (or Talmadge?)was the president of Oglethorpe University in 1860. I believe Ogelthrope was located in Milledgeville, Georgia. Does anyone know if this information is correct?
