Was Civil War Cannon Hospital located in LaGrange, GA?

My gggfather (Confederate) was wounded in battle in north Georgia in 1863 and was sent to "Cannon Hospital". I have info that Cannon Hospital was located in LaGrange. Could someone help me as to whether or not this is true?
