My name is Kem Chappell Barlow. I am looking for the ancestry of James Scroggins. I do not know his parents names, nor do I know the county of his birth. Any information re his ancestry would be greatly appreciated. I do know he married Mollie Scroggins in AL, where they had several children. They moved to Henderson County, TX prior to 1875. It was in Henderson County where one of their daughters, Leona Scroggins married John Dee Young in 1892. They had a daughter in 1893, my grandmother, Alice Etha Young. Alice Etha Young married Charles Britton Chappell. They had 2 sons, Glynn Riley Chappell and my father, Jeter Dee Chappell. If anyone has any information, please write me.
