Mary M. (wife)
Martin E. C.
Moses J. L.
John W.
Henry G.
Moses W.

Moses J. Taylor died in 1907 in Carroll County, GA (Whitesburg)

**I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO FIND OUT WHERE JOSIAH CUMBEE TAYLOR IS BURIED. HE WAS IN THE 1920 CHAMBERS COUNTY, FAIRFAX, ALABAMA CENSUS. HIS WIFE WAS IN THE 1930 COWETA COUNTY, GA CENSUS LISTED AS A WIDOW.

I have been told that he died in an accident while working for the railroad. I have not been able to find any kind of death or burial records for him.

Linnie Viola Skinner was born 12-24-1871. She was the daughter of:

Isaac H. Skinner, Jr., b. 1-29-1849,
(son of Isaac H. Skinner, Sr. and Mary Ann HARLEY), and Nancy C. BANKS, b. 1848
(daughter of Levi (Levy) Banks and Lucinda ROBERTS)

Isaac and Nancy BANKS had the following children:
a) LUCY C. SKINNER, b. 1870
b) LINNIE (LENNA) VIOLA SKINNER, b. 1871
c) FLORENCE SKINNER, b. 1874
I believe they were all born in Cleburne County, AL)

NOTE: I have a book 'HISTORY OF COWETA CO., GA' which reads: "Nancy C. Banks b. 1847-1848, m. Isaac Skinner; living 1880 in Ala.; now lost from sight". I have been told that Nancy C. Banks was "dis-owned" by her family because she married "a nobody", who was known to go around to area taverns, etc. and play his fiddle, perhaps for additional income. (?) I wonder if this is why the family listed her as "now lost from sight"!

Anyway...back to the Taylors....

Josiah's wife, Linnie Viola Skinner Taylor (my GG grandmother), died in 1950 in Coweta Co., GA and is buried there in the Oak Hill Cemetery beside her daughter, Johnnie Mae Taylor Ledford (my G grandmother), who is buried in the same area as HER daughter, Willie Mae Ledford Kempson Shierling (my grandmother)!

Please contact me if you have additional information on these families!

Thanks,

Rhonda Ray
