The Giles line is my husbands. They were mostly in Washington County, GA before moving to Alabama. Some stayed in GA.
The only one that I know of being in Marion County during the Civil War was William Washington Giles as he was in the hospital and is buried at Andersonville.
I do know that there were other Giles in the area but have not made a connection to his line....other than distant cousins maybe.
