Jane, I have been communicating with your cousin? Barton Lewis. In that Hendersonville, North Carolina was just 80 miles NE of Lumpkin County,Georgia, and in that the Georgia State Census of 1834 listed your James Fletcher b 1785, and that his line matches the DNA of the Henderson Co.NC group by 66/67 markers, I have surmised that he could be the son of Reuben Fletcher whose estate record dated 1834 stated that he had a son, named James Fletcher that was then living in Georgia.
