Found a newspaper article in Lumpkin Co. dated April 1, 1910 about the murder of Jim Bruce. It states that Bruce from Dawson Co. went to Lumpkin Co. to see his friend Lewis Gaddis. They got into an argument and Gaddis stab him twice and he died on the spot. Does anyone know the outcome of this case and who was the parents of Lewis Gaddis? I had heard that a Gaddis died in jail but don't know if this is the same person. Any information would be appreciated.
