Maxwell,

I looked in "Cain's History" to see if it mentioned anything about attorneys. I couldn't find that it did, but if you are related to William Cicero Stargel, then an entry I found from a Lumpkin newspaper of 5-25-1894 may be of some interest:
"Some years ago, Thomas Duckett and Miss Iowe, daughter of W. C. Stargel, were married in the upper portion of this county. After living together for some time, a separation took place about four years ago. A divorce was granted them and each lived single until a few days ago. It seems that there was a link of love that had never been severed, and last week the two were united again in the holy bonds of matrimony."
