Dahlonega has a very good library. They have a lot of genealogy material and their staff is friendly and very helpful. Besure to ask about their files on local familes. These are files that have been given to the library by different people with genealogy information about their familes. You will need to double check the information on these files for mistakes but it is a good place to get a lot of information even though they may have some mistakes. They also have a list of people that are researching their family names, you may want to look at that list. The last time I was there they were in the process of putting much of their genealogy information onto CD's which will make research much easier. Dahlonega's library is not that large but I am always surprised how much material they have for genealogy research. Good luck on your research. Tom
