Don't know of a church or burial place in Auraria, but there are a couple of very old cemetaries in that area. One is the old Shoal Creek church (name on church is Bethel Baptist, but locals call it Shoal Creek since there are 2 Bethel Churches in Dawsonville, Ga.) I have 3 generations buried there. One died in 1874 and her marker is still intact, though worn. There are many, many unmarked graves there. Another old cemetary in Lumpkin co near there is Cane Creek.
I have checked the cemetary book for Shoal Creek, but there is no Hyden listed, but he may be in unmarked grave. I have run across his name, but do not have much info on him. I am researching Daniel HYDE b. abt. 1788 m. Hannah unknown of Lumpkin/Dawson Co. I will go over my notes again and see if I can find anything on Daniel Hyden.
Judy
