Ellen, thank you for your response. I got the 1850 census on Caleb Spencer and he has a daughter, Elizabeth, that is the right age. William and Elizabeth (Spencer) Robinson are buried in Stephens County, Ga. Their granddaughter, Molly, is buried beside Elizabeth. William made their tombstones, but William only has rocks. Elizabeth's stone is about gone, but we were able to make out Ann Elizabeth. My grandmother, Mamie (Robinson) Nix is their granddaughter. about 1945 Mamie's family moved to Calif. (all but my dad)and when she came back here for a visit, she would always go to visit their graves. That's how I knew where they were buried.
