I am new to your message board and really need to find some good soles out there who will lead me in the right direction. I am trying to find ancestors of my husband. He is not interested in helping, but I want to do this for our children...that is part of their heritage. We know that Daniel Polk, b between 1787 and 1790 in SC was a 5th great Grandfather to our children. The line goes Daniel, Zachariah, John Henderson Polk,Pearl Polk, Ryan Hatcher, Gordon Hatcher, then our children.
Another researcher out there is Anna Lee Polk Peek.
Sssshe has remarried at least twice. I have lost touch with her. If you know her, please give her my e-mail so she can contact me.
