MURDER MYSTERY IN LUDOWICI, 1907
Posted by: RUTH CAMERON Date: September 21, 2001 at 04:12:19

Hello!

On December 31,1907, a man named KITT WAGES was murdered in Ludowici. I know that Long County was Liberty County at this time. The following is what I know about the incident:

KITT WAGES WAS, AT THE TIME OF HIS DEATH, MARRIED TO ROSA SIKES WAGES

HE WORKED FOR THE RAILROAD AT THE DOCTORTOWN TRESSLE AS A GUARDSMAN

HE WAS PROVOKED INTO GOING INTO LUDOWICI UNEXPECTEDLY (THE REASONS FOR THIS ARE STILL A MYSTERY ... AS IS THE IDENTITY OF HIS MURDERER.)

If anyone has ANY information -- or even speculation -- about this matter, I would be so very grateful if you would share whatever you have or know.

Sincerely,
Ruth Cameron
