My ancestor Seaborn Golden, b: 1799/Lincoln Co., GA m: 1 an Elizabeth Johnson in Wilkes Co., GA 1825, and m:2 Levina Johnston 1828. Levina was widow of Stephen (Jimmie) Hudgens. Seaborn's oldest son was named Joseph. Levina also had a brother named Joseph. I believe that Seaborn had moved to Talbot Co., GA by 1830.

In Talbot Co., GA, Superior Court Records - Mar 1828 to Sept 1833: Governor on info of John A. Jones vs Joseph B. Johnson, drawer Seaborn Golden, tenant.

Do you think there is any connection to your Johnston's?
Seaborn later moved his family to Tallapoosa Co., AL by 1840.

Tnanks,
Anita
