Jill, I don't know for sure but you might try looking in the Dorchester, South Carolina area for your Cantey family. I have an Elizabeth Cantey who married John Stevens in Dorchester, South Carolina. John Stevens is the one who deeded the land to the Midway Church in Liberty Co., GA.
