These are kin folks. The George D. Swindle (1828-1910) and Esther (Weathers) Swindle (1835-1912) in my posting are great-grandparents of your maternal grandfather Marvin D. Swindell (03/06/1921-10/05/1963) that is buried in the Little Rock Church Cemetery in Long County, GA. June Tina (Boone) Swindell, Marvin’s wife, is a patient in the Nursing Home in Ludowici, GA.
George D. Swindle (1828) with his wife Esther (Weathers) Swindle and George Dewey Swindell (1899-1960) and his wife Sallie Clem (Caison) Swindle are all buried in the Old Poplar Head Church Cemetery on Fort Stewart, GA. George Dewey Swindell (1899) is a son of James Benjamin Swindle (1856-1920) and Loranza ‘Lowe’ (Smiley) Swindle.
George D. Swindle & Esther (Weathers) Swindle is my great-grandparents. George Brook Swindell (1861-1917) and Emily N. (Wilkinson) Swindell (1869-1933) my grandparents are both buried in the Pigot Branch Church Cemetery in Long County, GA. Wallace Leroy Swindell (1901-1957) and Ruby (DeLoach) Swindell (1910-1995) are my parents and both are buried in the Pigot Branch Church Cemetery in Long County GA.
I have compiled considerable genealogy information on Swindle/Swindell’s that lived in and around Liberty, Long, Tattnall, and Wayne County areas in Southeast Georgia. I live in Glennville, GA and I’ve been working (& still working) on our family histories, etc., since the early 1990’s. I have lots of data on these families including a CD (300+ printable pages ‘Microsoft WORD’ with two ANNEX’s) that I can share with you upon request. Mildred (Swindell/DeLoach) Blocker, Marvin’s sister and my aunt live in the Route # 3 area of Long County, GA.
