First off I did not say I had a copy of the Marriage Registery. I have a copy of a book, "Marriage Records of Liberty County, GA 1785-1895" Abstracted bu Bess D. Stanley.
I'm sorry but your names do not appear in it.
I don't know if Mrs. Stanley's list is complete or not.
I do know that a lot of people, thought to be married in Liberty County, actually married some place else. Even more reputed to have been born there were born before their parents moved there. Perfect example of the latter is most of the children of my "Liberty County ancestors, Martin Martin and Isabella Graham Martin." Every published genealogy I've seen on line show all those children as born in Liberty County when, in fact, most of them were just about grown when Martin and Isabella left Screven County and went to Liberty County and at least one of their children appears to have never lived in Liberty County at all.
I intend to check the microfilms for Liberty County next time I go to GA Archives and see it there is a complete marriage index there. It will be at least a month before I can do that. If I don't find one, I'm hoping that I can make a trip to Hinesville and see what I can find there. It's an easy three hour drive -- ought to be back in time for a late supper, unless I find too much to interest me. If/when I learn more, I'll post it here.
