JAMES SWINDLE (born 1803 or Mar 17, 1804 in South Carolina; died aft 1856 in GA) the son of Solomon Commodore Swindle and Sarah Lemons married a Mrs James Swindle (born abt 1809 in SC). Their 4 children listed were: 1) Samuel Swindle (born abt 1828 in South Carolina; 2) James Swindle (born 1830 in South Carolina: died May 24,1914 Berrin County, GA, & buried Pleasant Cemetery, Berrin County, GA); 3) Edward Swindle (born 1838 in South Carolina); and 4) Washington Swindle (born 1803 in South Carolina). JAMES SWINDLE (1803/1804) was married second to Sarah A. (Unknown) and they lived in Liberty County, GA. no other children listed. Reference www.familysearch.org
Appreciate any information that would connect James Swindle to my great-grandfather that would most likely be some of my ancestors that also lived in Liberty County, GA. My great-grandfather GEORGE D. SWINDLE (born Mar 9, 1829 in South Carolina) lived in Tattnall and Liberty/Long County GA. He died Nov 18, 1910 and is buried by his wife, Esther Weathers, in the Old Poplar Head Church Cemetery on the Fort Stewart Military Reservation, Liberty County, GA. My grandparents were George Brook Swindell and Emily Wilkinson. My parents were Wallace Leroy Swindell and Ruby Catherine DeLoach. Thanks!
