Hello fellow geneies. I have had an old copy of the book, SOME EAELY EPITAPHS IN GEORGIA, published in 1924 by the Georgia Society of Colonial Dames of America, that I rescued from a book bin in upstate New York many years ago. It list the head stones inscriptions for the following cemeteries:
Old Colonial Cemetery
Vernonburg (White Bluff) and adjacent Cemeteries
St. Paul's Church yard, Agusta
The Old Jewish Cemetery
It states in the forward that these cemeteries are "in and near Savannah, Agusta and on St. Simon's Island. The book is indexed, so lookups won't be a problem. The dates go back to early There is an extensive forward that list other early colonial cemeteries and early settlers, I will be copying it and will send it to the Liberty County site that is listed several messages down from this.
I will be happy to look and see if there happens to have names of ancestors you may be seeking.
Warm regards, Jane
