In Reply to: MARY WAY - 1762 - Midway GA by John M Anderson of 410

Per the book, History and published records of the Midway Congregational Church, by James Stacy, it was Joseph Way and Mary Osgood who married in Midway Church on 12 Mar. 1759

The book shows a dau. Mary b. to Joseph Way 10 Mar. 1862 and a dau. Mary b. to Joseph Way on 1 Apr. 1862. Either there were two Joseph Way's or someone goofed. Two is possible as there were a lot of Ways in Liberty County.

A son Joseph was b. to Joseph Way 11 May 1764
Don't know if its the same one but a Mary Way m. Edward Sumner "in Carolina" on 10 Dec. 1779
A Mary Way m. Samuel Jones 22 Mar. 1787

This isn't one of my lines so have no references to help separate the many with the same name.

Hope this is some help.
