Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Follow-up Information:
"(www.cviog.uga.edu/Projects/gainfo/countypop)that might be helpful to you in your genealogy research (notice that Projects is capitalized). Although not a genealogy site per se, it does provide some useful information on the counties of Georgia (census data, when county was established, maps, courthouse info., etc.) The Ga. DOT maps of the counties, which are off each county courthouse's home page, shows where many of the cemeteries in the county are located." Thanks to Wayne Swindel and his wife for this additional information. It works just fine. 'Swindel Community' and other dead towns are shown on the earlier maps.
