Wolfe Men in Lee County Georgia

Hello all,
Researching family history, I find that Andrew Wolfe Senior and George Wolfe (Soldier) received Lee County land during the 1827 Land Lottery. Both were living in Wilkes County, Georgia at that time.

Below shows documentation from the 1827 lottery in deeds and plats.

***************
Andrew's is listed in Plat book QQQQ, Lee County, Dist. 5, Lot 178 (From GA Department of Archives and History Microfilm drawer #51, Box #55.) On his plat it says, "Drawn by Andrew Wolf Sen of Luker dist Wilkes. 202 1/2 acres. Surveyed Dec. 10, 26."

The deed lists him as Andrew Wolf Sen. R.S. (Revolutionary Soldier) of Lukers District, Wilkes County. This document was drawn up on June 18, 1836 and registered the same day. (From GA Department of Archives and History - 1827 Land Lottery Lee County District 5, Indexed - page 132. Microfilm drawer #285, Box #81.)

***************
George is listed in Plat Book TTTT, Lee County, Dist. 21 Lot #184 (From GA Department of Archives and History Microfilm drawer #51, Box #56.) On his plat it says, "George Wolf Sol (Soldier) of Lukers dist Wilkes County. 202 1/2 acres."

The deed lists him as George Wolf Sol. of Lukers District, Wilkes County. This document was drawn up on December 22, 1837 and recorded the same day. (From GA Department of Archives and History - 1827 Land Lottery, Supplement Book A, Lee County - Indexed - page 127. Microfilm drawer #286, Box #2.)

I do not find them anywhere else in Lee County information. Has anyone on this list come across either of these names before?

I would appreciate any information on 'ANY' Wolf, Wolfe, Woolf, Woolfe lines from that area, because until these documents showed up, Census records and other documents show them (the Wolfe families) living in Wilkes County Georgia from the late 1700's until their deaths in the middle and late 1800's.

I have noted that the Lee County Courthouse does not have records from this early - else I would try to look up what happened to these men and their properties. It is possible they sold it and never settled there, leased it and did not move there or even had someone else farm it and never even lived there.

Again, if anyone has anything that might be of help with this puzzle, I would appreciate it. If anyone has any suggestions as to where I might find this information I would be grateful...

Sincerely,
WF Dixon
