I saw your entry about Sarah Holt. Are you sure that her father was James Hinds Holt? I am a descendant of James Holt and Jane Standfield who married in Halifax County, Virginia. They both died after 1827 in Houston County, Georgia. They had a daughter named Sally Holt who was born in 1804. Hinds is a name attached to another branch of the Holt family that lived in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia at the same time. Also, Hinds is a miss spelling of Hines. Both Holt families are distantly related. Sarah and Sally Holt could easily be the same person.
