John G Sneed/Schools/1830

G-G-Grandfather John G SNEED/SNEAD was a schoolteacher. His family (1st)was in the JONES County area between abt 1828 thru 1837 time span. His first wife was Sarah Beckett JOHNSON. She died in 1836. They had 3 children together. William Henry Snead b:1830, Sarah b:1832, and George M.T. b:1835. After Sarah Beckett JOHNSON died, John G. remarried Mary Polly Bryant in 1837 (b:1816). They moved to Gwinnett County aboutthe same time. (Church records indicate so). Query is, Are there any schools in the area where John may have taught? Remember, this is before the days of public schools, so it would be an academy, a small schoolhouse or perhaps in a tutoring position.Any information on the family or schools would be appreciated. Thank you.
