Looking for information on Jesse and Mary McClaine, I found Sarah J. McClaine on the Jones Co. Ga. site she was listed on the Sardis Church records with Jesse and Mary and a few others. My Sarah J. married Jefferson Davis if that is his complete name?? and they settled in Baker Co. Ga. lived and died... Sarah J. McClaine/Davis 1854-1896 Travelers rest Cem. Baker Ga.
The Jesse I saw on the record of 1876 Jones Ga. was in the Va. Army??? I assume the family returned to VA. and had more children. Any info on Jefferson Davis would help. I am told he was a peanut farmer in Baker and died young of influenza. I found Sarah J. Davis on the 1880 Baker Census with Mary Carington , Sarah was listed as dau. and her son Thomas (Tom)J.Davis listed as gr.son........lizzayzay@hotmail.com Eliz. Ingram-Thompson
