My great great aunt, Elizabeth Reeves Melvin (4/5/1855-9/20/1949) was born in Talbot County, Georgia to Thomas Reeves and Mary Buckner Reeves. She married Charles Melvin 11/15/1883 in Taylor County, GA. She is buried in the Juliette Cemetery, Juliette, Georgia. Elizabeth and Charles had two daughters, Mary and Ella. I have no information on Mary but Ella Melvin was born 11/2/1888. She married Richard Batchelor about 1910 in Putnam County, GA. Ella and Richard had the following children: Troy, Cordy, Rosy, Lerard, Hance and Jeff. There may have been more children. Ella and Richard were living in Milledgeville, Ga. at the time of Elizabeth's death in 1949. Ella died 7/22/1964 and is buried in the Juliette Cemetery adjacent to Richard Batchelor (7/2/1875-5/26/1938). I would like to exchange family information with a descendant of the Batchelor Family. Elizabeth Reeves Melvin was a sister to my grandfather, Ed Reeves.
