I looked up the census records for 1910. 1900 and 1880 for William C. Tompkins, the son of William Augustus Tompkins, 1844 Feb 14, d Sep 4 1891, and Emma M. Hales, b abt 1846 GA..If these would help I would send them to you.

William Augustus Tompkins, 14 Feb 1844 Jefferson co. GA., died 4 Sep 1891 Johnson Co. GA., son of Partin Tompkins b 1805 Jefferson Co. GA. who married Mar 17 1842 Adeline Ponder, and grandson of John Tompkins b abr 1776, d 1850 and Mary Parson 1777-1815. Great grandson of Nathaniel Tompkins 22 Mar 1738, and Hannah Ball 1745-Aug 1801.

"One World tree" Has this family listed back into the 1200s, if you can believe it. I get concerned about such things after about the last 1500s.
