Hurst-Mead-Sasser connections

My great grandfather was Elias Walter Mead, Sr. He was married to Mary Eliza Powell Mead until her death in July 1905.

Sometime between July 1905 & July 1906 he married Mary Elizabeth Hurst, who is my great grandmother. Their children are as follows:
Elias Walton Mead-born July 1906
Daniel Claude Mead-born Nov 1909
Mary Elizabeth Mead-born June 1911
It is said that Mary Elizabeth died within 3 months of giving birth to my maternal grandmother, also named Mary Elizabeth.

2 of the children were raised in Millen by their older sister Susan Amelia Mead Fries Sasser. She was the daughter from Elias' marriage to Mary Eliza. Miss Susie, as she was known, was married to James Andrew Fries, Sr. and Claude Sasser. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. My family tells me she was also very active in a local church.

Can find no information whatsoever on Mary Elizabeth Hurst. No birth, marriage, death or burial records anywhere! Elias' activity on the census records in Millen begin in 1900 & he shows up in Jacksonville, Fl in 1917. Can anyone help? My family would be so grateful, as all these years they were never told anything about her.
Elaine
