Bill, I have a little information on the "Guy" family.
1. My Great Grandmother was EPSEY PIANA GUY also spelled (Epsie Epthelia). She was called "Dollie". b. March 18, 1860 d. March 20, 1937 and buried in the Hadden Family Cemetery in Jefferson County, Ga. She married WILLIAM G. COVINGTON in 1877.
2. Her Parents:
ISREAL A. GUY, b. Jan. 24, 2827 in Columbia County, Ga. d. March 23, 1905 in Jefferson County, Georgia. Buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Jefferson County. Married EPSEY REEVES in Columbia County, Ga. b. Ca 1837 and d. Dec. 22, 1917 in Jefferson County, Ga. Their children: Sarah A. Guy b. 1856 married ? Tutor, Martha Ellen Guy b. 1859, Epsey Piana Guy,b. March 1860, Ella W. Guy, b. 1862 married Solomon Scarber, and Hannah W Guy b. 1865.
3. Parents of ISREAL A. GUY
MALACHI GUY b. ca 1802 in Georgia. Married SARAH (UNKNOWN) CA. 1826. Children: SAMUEL M. GUY B. 1826, ISRAEL A. GUY B. 1827, BENJAMIN GUY B. 1829, WILLIAM GUY B. 1836 AND MARY GUY B. 1838.
4. Parents of MALACHI GUY
Father: JOHN G. GUY b. unknown, d. ca. 1870 in Columbia County, Ga. (buried unknown), married MARY (UNKNOWN), b. ca 1777 d. ca 1870 in Glasscock County, Georgia. Children: MALACHI GUY B. 1802, WILLIAM B.1810 and JOHN GUY b. unknown. Most of this information was given to me by my Grandmother Nicy Covington Brooks.
