Hi list, Can anyone shed any light on the connection between this Causey family and the Sherrod Arrington mentioned in this will from 1832? The first name of "Sherrod/Sherwood" was handed down for many, many generations in this Causey line-is anyone researching this Arrington line? thanks. Will of Elizabeth Causey Made July 19, 1932 Probated Nov. 05, 1832 Executors: Ezekiel Causey, Sherrod Arrington Witnessess: Sherrod Arrington, Jas. E. Whitfield, Solomon Phillips WILL, State of Georgia, Jefferson County In the name of God, Amen. I Elizabetha Causey being weake in body but Sound of mind and disposing mind and memory and knowing the mortality of my body. Make and appoint this my last will and testament In manner and form following. First I give my Spirit Into the hands mercy of God who gave and my body I resign to Its Mother dust.-- Secondly I bequeath and give to my well beloved Son Sherrod Causey one feather and furniture. -- Thirdly I give and bequeath to my beloved Son Ezekiel Causey the whole of my property to be Equally divided between the two after my death and all Just debts paid -- Fourthly and lastly as I have two chances In the land lottery and In the Event of my being a fortunate drawer I give and bequeath to my sons Allen Causey, Ezekiel Causey & Sherrod Causey. Also my daughter Matilda Ann Causey and her daughter Seyntha Ann Causey the whole of the lands so drawn to be Equally divided among the last mentioned children.
