Unfortunately, I don't think we have a connection. I'm including an excerpt from "my" Jesse Cox's will, dated 1824:
"...Fifth, it is next my desire that my wife Sally Cox, together with all my children, Orry Jackson, wife of Samuel Jackson, Betsey Lockett, wife of Cullen Lockett, Wiley J. Cox, Eliza Cox, Middleton Cox, Sarah Caroline Cox and Mary Catherine Cox, all have an equal division of my whole estate. Share and share alike..."
However, there is another Jesse Cox listed in Jeannette Holland Austin's "The Georgia Frontier" on page 99 - same time frame, almost same location. It might be helpful for your research.
