He is son of Wm. Scott & Jane Thomas. She is dau of William Walker b. c. 1759 Northhampton, Anson Co., NC.. and Sarah Lambert b. c. 1764 Roanoke. N.C.; died 1 Apr 1850 Clarke Co., Ga
Daniel Scott & Jemina Walker had children: Samuel Scott, Jane Thomas Scott m. Lt Elisha H. Lindley, Daniel Scott (jr.), William Scott, Elizabeth Scott, James Scott m. 25 Jan 1849 to Mary Thrasher, & John Scott.

Ga. Gen Mag. Col 25-28 Page 1925 shows newspaper Junne 27, 1843: Died on June 6th at his residence in Newton Co., Daniel Scott in his 58th year.
