My ggg grandfather, Simeon S. SMITH married Levina PERRY, 19 Oct 1819, in Jasper Co, GA. Simeon was born in Cecil Co, MD, ca 1787. Levina was born in SC, ca 1790. Simeon was awarded land in Muscogee Co, GA (later Harris Co) in the lottery of 1827. The family is found in the census records of Harris Co, GA from 1830 through 1860. Smallpox caused the death of Simeon ca 1865. He is said to have been buried in an unmarked grave on his farm near New Hope. I have not been able to locate Levina after she was listed with Simeon in the 1860 Harris Co, GA census.

I have been unable to identify Simeon's parents to date, and would appreciate any help in doing so.
