Looking for information on my ggg grandfather Abraham Pennington b. Abt. 1795 in NC d. 9/8/1852. Married Martha Laws April 17, 1815 in Jasper Co., Ga. Martha was b. abt. 1792 d. bef. 11/1/1830 according to her fathers will. Abraham is listed with a wife Martha (was this the first wife, if so why or what happen to have her listed in her fathers will as deceased?)in the 1850 census. From records of the Methdoist Preachers in Georgia, Martha Pennington wife of Abraham Pennington died 9/21/1852. What kind of contagious illness was in Cobb Co. at this time.

On the 1850 Census Marietta Dist. 4 the following is listed:
Abraham Pennington 55/M Preacher 1200 b. NC
Martha 58/F b. SC
Abram 25/M Book Marker b. Ga.
Augusta 21/F b. Ga.
Martha C. 3/F b. Ga.

Abraham was a Preacher with the Methodist Episcopal Church better known as a Circuit Rider from 1835 to 1848.

His daugther Susan Ann Pennington married John S. Smith and was also living in Cobb Co. in 1850. This family latter moved to Tx.

Need to find any family history on the above. Where is Abraham and Martha Pennington buried, what church did he preach at and are any records available? What factory that made books was around in 1850?

Any information will be greatly appreciated.
