Betty, Thank you so much. Please email me directly at jinnyemk@aol.com Stephen Oscar Akins was my paternal grandmother, Ida Mae Akins Nobles' paternal grandfather. Her father was James Lewis Akins. William was Stephen's father. My father is James Willis Nobles, the youngest son of John Washington Irving Nobles and Ida Mae Estoria Akins. Grandpa Stephen lived with Grannie when she was pregnant with my dad in 1925-6. He gave Grannie some of his beautiful white embroidered dress shirts that were a little worn to make baby dresses for the baby(my dad) (J.W.) My Aunt Martha (Coody) told me this story. She is Daddy's oldest sister and was about 7 yrs. old at the time. She said the shirts made beautiful baby clothes!
