Hello....
I'm very interested in finding any and all information pertaining to Thomas H. Jackson of Hart County Georgia. According to the records I have, he was born January 9, 1837 and served as Captain of the 15th Georgia Infantry Company H, during the Civil War. He was captured at Fort Harrison Virginia and released in June of 1865. In an 1895 pension application, Thomas provides the following... "Not Married. Have 2 children living, one in Texas girl & the other is gone." (I know that this is the right "Thomas" based on the Confederate Service information he includes) As the 1900 Census shows, "Not Married," in this case, would have meant "Widowed.". In addition, I've found a RootsWeb listing which shows a Thomas "Harrison" Jackson married Nancy Elizabeth Swift November 8, 1860. It also shows a daughter named Katie. I'm unable to find additional proof that this is the same "Thomas H. Jackson" as there is no other documentation. Information concerning his personal life before and after the war, and especially records of his marriage, children, date of death and place of burial would be extremely helpful.... Thanks
Phil Turner
