Found this obit for son Carl Prather which lists mother's maiden name as Cunningham. No mention of the 2 sisters, though. (One may have married a Yates, since 3 of pallbearers have Yates as last name?)
Carl Prather, 92, of 1440 W. Main St., died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999.
A native of Vanna, Mr. Prater was a son of the late William Joseph and Mattie Cunningham Prather and was the widower of Ruth Williams Prather. He was a cotton-and-cattle farmer. He was a member of Vanna United Methodist Church and attended Bowersville Baptist Church. He was a founding member of Hart County Hospital Authority and served on many agricultural committees.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Pruitte Funeral Home, Royston, with the Rev. Eldon Massey officiating. Burial will be in Bowersville City Cemetery.
Survivors include two brothers, W. Harold Prather, Elberton, and James W. Prather, Columbus.
Pallbearers will be James Michael Prather, Ronald Brown Prather, William C. Prather, Greg Yates, Jason Yates and David Yates.
Memorials may be made to Bowersville Baptist Church, 980 E. Main St, Bowersville, GA 30516.
The family is at the residence.
