Hey!
I apologize for not responsding to your assistance sooner. Are you familiar with this Teat family? I have a lot of questions as to who Sara Brown was really married to. My great grandfather, Dillard Ira Teate's, son prepared a "Family Tree" shows she was married to Oliver Teate but I have found only records of a brother of Dillards with that name. Death certificate of Dillard b. 1878 says Adolphus father, Samuel Oliver b. 3/1881 says Mahlon father. 1880 census shows Sallie widow living with her in-laws. Was she was pregnant when Mahlon died. Who is father of Lonie though?
I would be greatful for any insight into this mystery.
